Sacred Settlements are community-built and community-funded. There are many ways to support our work.

Settled is entirely privately funded.

“For Settled.” was written on the card. In the envelope was $16 in single bills. We sat around the table at our team meeting and just smiled. What a beautiful act of faith. Long ago, we decided to be a privately funded non profit and although there have been difficult months, we wouldn’t trade that decision for all the money in the world. It allows us to build at a quarter of the cost of traditional programs and meet the real needs of our neighbors coming off the streets. This also gives individuals, churches, and businesses lots of opportunities to have a real impact. Not everyone has the ability to volunteer regularly or become an Intentional Neighbor, yet in the Full Community model everyone is wanted and needed here.

Ways to support.

Support the work.

Our guidance includes everything from navigating city and state regulations, building tiny homes, renovating land, and retrofitting church buildings, to training church staff and mobilizing volunteers. Settled offers our guidance to churches on a pay-what-you-can basis, and you can take part by supporting us as we support the church.

Sponsor a home.

Each Sacred Settlement requires a Full Community approach to build. Homes need multiple sponsors (individuals, churches, and businesses). There are two modes of home sponsorship:
