Sacred Settlements are supportive communities that surround people formally homeless with meaning and purpose — something all of us need.
Our approach can only work through local faith communities. Utilizing land owned by religious institutions reduces or eliminates the cost of land and provides a built-in community that matches with the mission of the Sacred Settlement.
We create intensive training for congregations, develop land use strategies, and maintain a strong network of like-minded partners. These faith communities play many critical roles in hosting, home building and befriending neighbors coming off the streets.
